Privacy policy
This policy explains what BaseX (“we”, “us”) collects when you use tradeatbase.com and pre-register your interest, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written for a pre-launch website: we are not yet providing any service, and the only personal data we hold is what you choose to give us on the pre-registration form.
What we collect
- What you give us. Your email address and, depending on how you register, your country of residence, what you would use BaseX for, your company name, the kind of business you are, an indicative monthly volume, and anything you write in the free-text box.
- What our systems record. The time of your submission, the page you submitted from, your browser’s user-agent string, the country your connection appears to come from, and a one-way hash of your IP address that we use only to limit abuse of the form.
- Cookies. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we collect it
- To contact you about BaseX before and at launch, which you consent to when you tick the box on the form.
- To understand who is interested in BaseX and in what, so we can plan what to build and in which order.
- To prevent spam and abuse of the form.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may use service providers (for example our hosting and email providers) who process it on our behalf under contract.
Where it is kept and for how long
Pre-registration data is stored on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare, Inc. in Western Europe. We keep it until BaseX launches and your record is either converted into an account, with your agreement, or deleted; or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner. We will not keep it for more than 24 months without re-confirming that you still want to hear from us.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email privacy@tradeatbase.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is material to how we use information you have already given us, we will email you first.
